Letâs Make Some Money[1]
The next day, I was called in for questioning regarding the incident. After giving my testimony and seeing that my story matched Daniellaâs, I was allowed to return. And like that, several days went by.
I had just finished class for the day and was about to move on to my next plan when I heard someone call my name.
âSenior Raven!â
I turned around. It was Daniella. Just the person I wanted to see. I stopped and waited for her to reach me. She soon arrived, panting like she had just run a marathon.
âHelloâ¦huuuâ¦seniorâ¦huuuâ
âHey,â I responded.
âIâve been looking all over for you for the past three days. It was difficult finding which class you were in since I didnât know your name.â
âI see.â
âI never got to say thank you the other day. You saved my life. Thank you.â
âI was only doing what I was assigned.â
âEven still, you werenât obligated to protect me under such danger. So for that, thank you. If thereâs anything you need, let me know. Iâll do everything in my power to help you.â
âIs that right?â
âUh? Yes.â
âGreat! I happen to need something.â
âReally?â she said with gleaming eyes.
I wondered why she seemed so excited by that. Probably because sheâd get to repay her favor quickly?
âYeah. I need to use your alchemy workshop.â
âUhn? Are you an alchemist?â
âWell, not really. Iâm just trying to make something.â
Daniella was a genius alchemist, a prodigy. She had invented quite a few potions and received awards at the Magic Academyâs annual competitions. Her talent was recognized even beyond the academy. She had a natural affinity for alchemical processes and could intuitively understand complex chemical reactions. At a young age, she had created a unique healing potion that could rapidly regenerate tissues without any side effects, earning her the nickname âThe Healing Prodigy.â
âAlright,â Daniella said, her eyes still bright with excitement. âIâll take you to my workshop. What are you planning to make?â
âItâs a special project,â I replied, keeping the details vague. âIâll explain more when we get there.â
Her workshop was set up in a special area inside the academy grounds, a privilege granted both because of her fatherâs status and her exceptional contributions and talent in the field of alchemy.
When we arrived at the workshop, Daniella showed me around the well-equipped space, explaining the functions of various tools and equipment. She handed me a spare key, saying I could use it whenever I wanted to access the workshop.
âIs that okay?â I asked, hesitant. âI mean, wonât I see your ongoing projects?â
âItâs fine,â Daniella assured me with a smile. âI trust you.â
I chuckled softly. âDonât trust people so easily.â
Daniellaâs smile faltered slightly, but she nodded. âI understand.â
With that, I left Daniellaâs workshop, it was time to move to the next plan.
The reason why I asked Daniella for access to her workshop was so I could make a potion. Two potions actually.
